ZERO.ZERO
Old fashion trends, music styles and movies are coming back in style. The defining Y2K-style have been more and more present in pop culture by artists and fashion trends, especially amongst the younger generation. Before the summer in 2023, I noticed several artists taking the music styles of young 50 Cent and Kanye West songs in their unreleased music. Seeing a wave form before it hit the market - I saw an opportunity.
I took a break from working on my album and created an EP called ZERO.ZERO, a metaphor for the 2000's and with the sound of that time, in just three weeks. My strategy was simple: be the first before the wave hits. As part of the promotion I made all visual material, cover arts and the clothing in the same style.
